Causes And Treatment Methods Of Mushroom Stems Not Germinating Or Slow

During the cultivation of shiitake mushrooms, the growth stage of mycelium is called the “germination period”. This period is particularly important for the subsequent management and yield quality of shiitake mushrooms. Mushroom farmers will more or less encounter the phenomenon that the sticks of the picked bacteria do not germinate or lag in the breeding place. What is the reason for this? How to deal with such phenomena?

When this happens, it is generally caused by the following 4 reasons:

1. The water content is low during the preparation of the base material. Due to the drying of the culture material, failure to meet the standard requirements for hyphae germination leads to no germination or reduced activity of the species.

2. The base material changes acid. Everyone knows that the PH value of the mushroom culture material has a fixed standard, and once high acid or high alkali will directly cause the mycelium not to germinate. In the actual operation process, the PH value error is mostly caused by too high acidity. Because in the preparation of mushroom base material, a little carelessness and negligent operation can easily make the nutritional material sour. After the base material is mixed with water, the accumulation time is too long, and the sterilization of the fashion bag is not completed, which accelerates the growth of microorganisms in the material and causes the base material to become acidic. In addition, if the boiler is too hot, the base fermentation acid can also be changed.

3. The microbes did not cool down during inoculation. Inoculation of the bacteria sticks at high temperature, one is to make the bacteria detoxify and weaken the vigor in the high temperature environment, and the other is the temperature difference between the surface and inside of the bacteria sticks, the inside and outside are cold, and the water condenses at the inoculation port, causing slow germs.

4. High temperature and poor ventilation. In high temperature seasons or in the place where the bacteria are stacked, the disorder of the bacteria rods is too high and too dense, which causes the temperature in the shed to be too high, and the formation of an anaerobic state is also a reason for the slow development of the bacteria rods.

In view of the above problems, mushroom farmers should observe closely and do the following to prevent and deal with them accordingly:

1. The base material should be added with water strictly in accordance with the scientific proportion, and the inoculation port should be placed sideways when stacked.

2. After the base materials are mixed, the bags should be sterilized and sterilized in time. The firepower at the initial stage of sterilization should be large enough to raise the boiler temperature to above 98 degrees in a short time.

3. Avoid high-temperature inoculation. When inoculation, wait for the temperature of the bag to drop completely below 25 degrees.

4. The temperature of the fungus cultivation place should be balanced, avoid high and low, away from heat sources, and ensure smooth air.
